In January 2005, organisations with an interest in the improvement of men’s health in Europe met in Brussels to formally establish the network of the European Men's Health Forum. From 29 September to 1 October 2005, the European Men’s Health Forum will organise its first network conference.
Coinciding with the 2005 edition of the World Congress on Men’s Health in Vienna, the EMHF conference will establish men’s health on the European political health agenda, and provide a platform for the collaboration of all those interested in the development of men’s health in Europe.
The conference is primarily aimed at:
Representatives of men’s health organisations
- Representatives of patient’s organisations with
an interest in men’s health
- Policy-makers at national and European levels
- Health professionals with an interest in men’s health
- Health authorities
Exchange of best practice, joint activity planning, interventions from key European health policy makers and the signing of the first European Declaration on Men’s Health will be at the centre of our activities.

‘The EMHF network is a formal coalition of organisations actively contributing to the improvement of men’s health in Europe. Network participants are full members of EMHF. They work together to share best practice, establish a common agenda and, where appropriate, carry out joint actions. The network aims to provide a stronger voice for each of its members and for men’s health as a whole. It also aims to facilitate collaboration with other international networks and institutions sharing the same goals.’
