The EMHF has welcomed the publications of new guidelines by European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) concerning the relations between the pharmaceutical industry and patient organisations.
The guidelines identify the independence of patient organisations as a key principle and call for relationships based on mutual respect and transparency.
EMHF director Erick Savoye said: ‘these guidelines complement the policy that we have had in place since 2003’.
