The Forum has published its first men's health information 'mini-manual'.
The mini-manuals, short A5 sized publications written by EMHF president Ian Banks, are similar to those being published with considerable success by the MHF in the UK. However, EMHF mini-manuals are written for a European audience rather than a British one and are available in several languages. The first title in the series is on Rheumatoid Arthritis which is currently available as a download or as hard copy.
Explaining the move, EMHF director Erick Savoye said: 'the EMHF is best known for its policy work at European level but we have a broader remit too which is to raise awareness of men's health and these mini-manuals will help enormously in this respect. There is very little in the way of health information for the European man. The mini-manuals will not only fill a resource need in their own right but they will also serve as a model of good practice for other producers of resources.'
The next two titles in the series - planned for next year - are on men and work and sexual health.
