The EUGLOREH Project has published the Global Report on the Health Status in the European Union.
The European Men’s Health Forum contributed a gender-based descriptive analysis of the health of the adult population (Section 9.3 & 9.5).
This Report is intended to be a reference publication providing general information on health status of the European population and on associated time-trends; and to provide a valuable tool for the European Commission, national policy makers and other stakeholders to monitor impacts of main health interventions and policies.
The Eugloreh project has benefited from the collaboration of the health authorities or institutions from all EU Member States, Croatia, Turkey, Iceland and Norway, and of major intergovernmental, International and European Organizations and Agencies. Moreover, more than 170 European experts have provided their knowledge and analysis of the many health subjects dealt with in the Report.
The Project has been financially supported by the DG "Public Health and Consumer Protection" of the European Commission in the framework of the Call for Proposal 2005 of the Programme of Community Action in the Field of Public Health (2003-2008).
