Men's Health Week answers all the questions in the UK

The MHF (England) are now collating the feedback on a highly successful Men's Health Week last month. The MHF Scotland are also recovering from a successful week.

Baker, Milton, BanksThe MHF launch event A Question of Health mimicked a well-known British television quiz format to bring celebrities and the public together to raise awareness of key issues in men's health related to the Week. The event also featured the first speech on men's health by the UK's new public health minister Anne Milton (pictured right between MHF CEO Peter Baker and MHF and EMHF president Ian Banks.)

In a closely fought quiz, the celebrity team narrowly triumphed over the Men’s Health Week partners' team. The celebrity team, with broadcaster Keith Arthur as quiz master, included rugby league legend Steve Prescott, former world darts champion Andy Fordham, ex-Charlton goalkeeper Nicky Johns and television gardener Joe Swift.

Building on the theme of men and physical activity, the Forum also launched a national campaign to get one million older men more active by the time the Olympics comes to Great Britain in 2012. Acheiving this target will mean that men aged 35-64 are as active in the UK as men under 35.

In Scotland, the Week was built around the Men's Health Forum Scotland's annual 10k run for men.
